Assistant Men's and Women's Coach / Throwers
Jessica Horsley is in her first season as assistant men's and women's track and field coach. Her primary area is working the Pack throwers.
Horsley attended Chadron State University from 2006-14, first as a student-athlete, then as a graduate assistant coach and most recently as an assistant throws coach.
As the assistant throwers coach, Horsley oversaw a highly competitive men’s and women’s throw squad consisting of hammer, weight, shot put, and discus competitors. She is experienced in developing strength and conditioning workouts for throwers, recruiting high quality individuals for the sport and organizing high school/collegiate track meets. Horsley helped coach three All-American athletes, 22 national qualifiers and seven Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) champions.
As a student-athlete at Chadron State, Horsley earned her own decorated career as she was an All-American in the hammer throw, finishing second at nationals. She is a seven-time national qualifier (shot put, weight throw and hammer throw) and a two-time RMAC champion (weight throw - established RMAC record with a thwo of 19.24m - and hammer throw).
Horsley owns a bachelors' degree in interdisciplinary studies and a masters’ degree in organizational management from Chadron State. She is a member of USTFCCCA and has atteneded two coaches conferences by the organization.
Assistant Men's & Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Coach
Following a successful career with the Pack, Bailey Hughes joins the CSU-Pueblo men's and women's cross country and track and field programs as an assistant coach in 2017-18.
